THE BEST PLACE TO PRACTICE YOGA

The best place to practice yoga is nature. By the trees, in contact with the earth, under the sky, soaking up the sunlight, breathing in the fresh air, feeling the rain, listening to the birds. Nature is our home. It gives us prana, the vital energy to live. Without it we die bit by bit. We become devitalised, without energy. Our cells run out of strength. Our skin turns dull grey, lifeless and dull, our eyes expressionless. Our soul becomes restless. Our mind confused and agitated. Our breathing incomplete and the air toxic. Our feelings dense. Life without meaning.

We are part of nature, we are nature.

Nature gives us back the feeling of harmony and beauty. Of integration with everything that has life, all the Beings that belong to Planet Earth. Nature cleanses, purifies, revitalises, energises, nourishes, protects, heals and cares for. Nature is an extension of ourselves. Everything that exists in nature outside of us exists within us. We are a microcosm within a macrocosm. Everything that is not nature is artificial, toxic, impure. All that is nature is sustainable, sustaining and sublime.

PRACTISING YOGA IN NATURE

With your heart feel which is the most appropriate place to stretch your yoga mat. If it is sunny, choose to stretch your mat under a tree to be in the shade. - Thank the tree with love! If it's raining, take advantage of the rain to wet your body, bless the water that comes from the sky and feel pleasure in every drop that runs down your skin. If there is wind, go to the top of the mountain, open your arms and let the wind take away everything that is stagnant in your life and in your being. If you are by a river, listen to the melody, let yourself be carried away by the movement of the water within you. If you are by the sea feel your breathing like a wave that comes and goes, relax, be enveloped in a sweet lull. If you have a rainbow, smile with happiness and breathe into yourself the colours of life, the colours of the divine light.
